Folk Style

A few years ago i seen this dress in ASOS.  Very me; embroidered, girly
and kicks out like a doll dress. I had to have it even though i could't picture
where i would wear it or what i'd wear it with or even the fact it was £70 -
£90. As i predicted, it lived in my wardrobe for a few years. Until now. My love of
floral crowns has give me the chance to wear it, naturally they make any outfit
cool and 'festively'. Ive styled my 'folk style' dress with brown chelsea boots.

Pastel Summer

My summer wish list!
I can't wait till it's warmer in England. You wouldn't think it
was May; i still have my wooly jumpers and tights hanging in
my wardrobe. I am dying to  bring out the pastel tones, frilly dresses
and floral crowns, but for the moment, dreaming will have to do.

Don't be fooled it was freezing, but i couldn't wait to share my outfit!
The lace top is my very favourite, especially styled with 'wet look'
vintage pink skinnys and my halo like garland from Roses & Clementines.

Handmade Clothing

I'm a huge fan of DIY fashion, always searching for
the next big trend and 'must have' piece to try and recreate.
I guess thats why i like handmade clothingIt just has that
special touch you just don't get from a franchise.

Especially with the festival seasons coming up, the need to
be different and stand out is bigger than ever. My all time
favourite look has to be hippy chic with influences of tribal;
Its timeless for the summer and with good key pieces in your
wardrobe, you can achieve this look time after time. My main
tip is go handmade! There is some amazing stores out there
on the internet, talent bursting out at the seam.

A great Boutique; Gipsy Dharma, specialise in handmade,
unique leather clothing and footwear. What i like about this
company is that they are just as passionate about handmade
clothing and accessories as myself; A rare trait these days.

I am in love with the leather boots they do, my must have
item for this years festivals. The cool thing about the boots
is that it's supposed to feel like your bare footed, the soft
supple leather 'moulds into your very own shape, ensuring
absolute comfort as well as incredible style'. One less
worry when you'll be dancing the night away.

My favourite pair in tan, is in the outfit layout above. I was so
excited when i seen them, i decided to show different ways you
could wear them this summer to draw you in.

A typical 'hippy look'

By mixing tribal elements like the bone necklace and one
feather earring with girly festival flower headbands,
gives the boots a cool modern tribe look. I get the feeling
i've seen something like these before, they just scream
tribal dancing and native warrior.

Summer Festival look

I've clashed the boots with modern denim studded shorts,
a traditional native-esque poncho and crimson roses for
a Mexican vibe. The detail on the boots is really stunning,
i love the idea of the working laces that go all the way down
the boot; versatile aspect, being able to recreate different
looks with this detail. They really finish off this look and tie
in really great with the funky jewellery.

All these items were found from independent
handmade boutiques.

Gipsy Dharma have a great range of coloured and patterned
leather, for the more daring and adventurous girl.
It's definitely worth a look.

DKNY Bags

I'm always searching for new accessories to brighten up my
outfits. I'm the kind of girl that buys a bag or a pair of shoes
that only goes with one dress, shameless i know! I need to beat
this bad habit and start making my wardrobe a bit more; lets
say, timeless. The rule of buying - from a very wise women.

"Thou shall only buy an item if you can
style it with at least three things"

On that note, I came across a great collection of DKNY bags
from John Lewis. Starting from £88, Theres some beautiful
shapes and colours to choose from. DKNY's shape of bags
are very classy and elegant, the kind of bag that will go with
absolutely everything and never go out of fashion. I know
what your thinking, I'm going to splash out on another
accessories that will have pride of place on the top shelf of
my wardrobe; on the contrary, Ive already looked through
my outfits and there isn't one that these bags don't go with.

Obviously the black; the chic option, you will get your wear
out of it. Black goes with absolutely everything and if you
wanted a bag to last you and what i call 'multi purpose bag'
then this one is for you. Don't let the price scare you off, look
at it the way i do £258 (the top black style) you use it once a
week for a year, then the bag costs you about £4 a go or even
once a month; thats £21, Bargain in my eyes. No one has ever
looked so classy for £21. Accessorise your bag, add a cute fabric
bow  or key chain to match your outfit. The styling possibilities
are endless and i haven't even touched on what the red bag can
do for your look, I'm a huge fan of one thing on your outfit being
red, or maybe match your lipstick. I've seriously talked myself
into it, I love this selection of DKNY bagsOne in every style
and colour please.

Frills Spikes & Roses

I seen the most amazing jacket on the front of the
Asos magazine awhile back, modelled by the amazing
Rita Ora. I instantly fell in love. I trawled the internet,
stalked Rita Ora's twitter (just incase) and practically
lived on the Asos site, nothing! Being a shopaholice
and a huge fan of fashion, I put my textile degree to
use and designed my own. I designed my own Cherub,
Baroque fabric on Spoon Flower and covered the jacket
in gold, silver, gun metal and black spikes and studs.
Ive been dying to do a look with my jacket, even though
it is unfinished, well only to my eyes.

Viro Music

A bloggers best friend.

I'm a huge multi tasker; maybe too much i'd admit. Being an
internet addict and what some like to call a 'keyboard warrior',
i spend more that 8 hours on my laptop (we have a great
relationship!). Whilst blogging; adding countless items to my
shopping basket and watching fashion shows, I love having
music on in the background. It drives my partner insane, on a
plus side we have similar taste in music, 'all over the place'
is what i like to call it.

My music taste is very eclectic, and a bit random really,
it depends on my mood i suppose. My very favourite is
Motown; everyone loves some oldies and i'm a little bit
addicted to Lana Del Rey at the moment. My favourite
bands are The yeah yeah yeahs, The Postal service and
The sounds, So i guess you can say i like Indie Rock.
Like every girl, i have a few guilty pleasure songs
(aka chart music) I'd rather not get into ...

Anyways, i always find it annoying when i'm in the
middle of something; lets say editing my photos and
the song finishes, i have to stop what I'm doing to search
for another song to play. Not any more!

I've stumbled across a nifty little site, which allows you to
search for all your favourite songs and add them to playlists
that you can name yourself. This is perfect for me, different
playlist for my moods. If your feeling indecisive, Viro Music
have made classic playlists for you, Old Skool Hip Hop
(which i strongly suggest a listen!) 90's Dance hits and
Indie Rock, to name a few. If your in the mood for a little
skive, Viro Music has the music videos playing on the site :)
You just treat the site like your normal everyday music player,
song shuffle, choose the order of your songs, skip etc.

The best part is the site is free to use, endless amounts of
songs at your finger tips. Theres no need to take the time
out of your day filling in the sign up sheet as you can just
log in with Facebook. I suppose it's time to say goodbye to
downloading music (as long as you have internet connection).

Give Viro Music a go and
make your own Music playlists.
